QR Fun

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

As I’ve been testing out the Xperia X10 mini and Xperia X10 mini pro, I find I keep gravitating to the QR scanner apps. QR isn’t as common as I would expect at this point, but there is enough of it around to have some fun. Some bloggers use them a lot, and there was even a Calvin Klein billboard displaying a giant QR code as an ad.

QR codes have been used in a variety of creative ways, from movie posters to parking signs to tatoos. If you have a QR reader, scan the code below to see some examples at the QR Stuff website.

I have been scanning and making QR codes a lot lately, as they are really convenient. If you have a smart phone, it is definitely worth trying out. If not, I guess you don’t know what you’re missing. Whether they are useful or not, they sure are fun.
