Borders Offers Coffee for Downloading App

Friday, July 9th, 2010

Borders really wants you to download their new eReader app. If you do, you’ll get a free cup of coffee from the Seattle’s Best inside Borders.

As you can see in the image, you simply download the app to your device, whether a phone or tablet, and get a free coffee when you show the app at the store. Sounds pretty simple. If you are interested in a free coffee, this is a pretty easy way to get one.

Borders has been trying to get into the e-Book market for a while now. They didn’t release an e-Reader outright like Barnes & Noble did, but they offer a few different devices for sale in their store. You can get a Kobo eReader, Aluratek Libre, Sony Touch or Sony Pocket eReaders. If you go for a tablet, the eReader app that is being bolstered by the free coffee lets you browse for Borders books.

While I will likely get an eReader from another vendor, downloading a free app and getting a coffee for it is easy enough. I’ll have to give it a shot.

You can get your app here.
