WordPress for Android

I installed a new WordPress app recently and thought I’d give it a go.  This post is being written using WordPress for Android on a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro.  I don’t think this would really work without a QWERTY keyboard, at least not on an X10 mini.

The app works pretty well.  It was easy to set up.  I had to go into my account to update a remote posting setting, but other than that I simply had to log in.

It is easy enough to add an image. It is not clear how to place the image where you want it initially, but if you poke around you can find some options.  You can give some basic image parameters in the settings.  You can choose whether to post on top or bottom, maximum image width, and whether or not to link to the full sized image.

Overall, it appears that you can pretty much post as you normally would, if you had a smaller keyboard and screen that is.  If you haven’t tried it, it could be useful for you.  I can see this as being handy in long lines or on a plane if I don’t have a laptop handy.  I think it is definitely worth checking out.
